Co-owner Bill Kurtain and his team of racquet raconteurs bring more than four decades of combined instruction experience to their small-group clinics. Prospective service stars join no more than five fellow trainees for small-group classes organized by age and skill level. Students hone essential skills in each lesson, such as basic strokes and volleys, as well as more advanced techniques, including drop shots, spins, and face-melting air-guitar solos on the racquet-based bass. Between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, students are set free on the courts to stroke through pickup matches and other free-form practice methods.
