Winterhaven Festival of Lights

Hundreds of thousands of people flock to Tucson to stroll or ride through the Winterhaven Festival of Lights every December. As one of the longest-running events of its kind in the U.S., the festival traces its roots back to 1949, when lights were still powered by a community's collective joy instead of just electricity. Today, families gather to stroll past the meticulously designed displays or to take in the sights via hayride, trolley, or pedal-powered group bike.

The festival's positive effects ripple through the community long after the final bulb goes out. In fact, in 2014 alone, it collected more than $18,000 and more than 42,000 pounds of food for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Take the ride with regular forward facing seats... the other ones only allow you to see HALF of the lights :( ONE side of the road :(
