    During the concealed-carry-license class, an NRA-certified instructor teaches students about proper gun handling and choosing a firearm. Students will also receive a certificate of completion, fill out all concealed-carry-license paperwork in class, and receive postage and an envelope in which to mail those forms. A $50 check made out to the State of Wisconsin must be sent with the paperwork.

    Participants are not required to acquired a CCW permit for these fun, friendly sessions designed for all skill levels and genders. No experience required.

    After a short safety class, live-fire sessions commence at the Deerfield Rod and Gun Club's outdoor range, where students test their aim with 50 rounds of .22LR ammunition.

About Wisconsin Concealed Carry Training Academy

A former private detective and bodyguard, Tim draws upon his firsthand experience to teach self-defense skills and safety procedures at Wisconsin Concealed Carry Training Academy. In courses with or without a shooting component, the NRA-certified instructor creates an interactive, comfortable environment for students to learn about safe weapon handling and storage, the parts of a firearm, and state gun laws. Though he trains pupils in shooting fundamentals at a local outdoor range, Tim also stresses self-protection alternatives such as pepper spray. Once classes wrap up, he happily answers any lingering questions.
