Winemakers and assistant winemakers provide a history of Wisdom Oak Winery and their winemaking strategy, as they guide guests through the tour. Guests learn about the craftsmanship of Wisdom Oak, and the unique processes and flavors that have led to its double-gold at U.S. National Wine Competition and White House features. After, customers enjoy a plate of nearly a dozen Boar's Head products including prosciutto, salami, soppressata and havarti, smoked gouda, and goat cheese, which is complemented by crackers and sliced baguette. Handcrafted local, pinot noir-infused chocolates complete the experience.

Wisdom Oak Winery

On brisk mornings, a blanket of fog descends on the valley of Monticello, covering rows of grapevines in a picturesque mist that creates compelling flavors within the grapes soon to be transformed into wine. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wisdom Oak Winery utilizes every inch of its 4-acre vineyard, which is situated on a sprawling 126-acre estate. Since 2001, the fertile pastureland has been the site of intense dedication and experimentation, resulting in high-quality varietals such as cabernet franc, chardonnay, rosé, and custom blends.

Customer Reviews

This winery is a small batch winery and a little out of the way. I visit Virginia wineries quite a bit, and I never would have found this one if not for the Groupon. We had a wonderful experience. The tour and tasting were exceptional, and Gavin really knows all about wine. The venue is beautiful and picturesque, and the wine is good. I would definitely do this again.
