Amaya "ran away to join to circus” when she left home to become a professional dancer. Since then, she's performed around the world, taking her moves to locales ranging from Switzerland and Egypt to Crystal City, Texas. Now, as the owner of WISE WOMEN do Belly Dance!, she shares the many skills she acquired throughout her travels with her eager students. She fills her lessons with passion and fire as she demonstrates how to isolate her hips and torso and mesmerize audiences with sensual movements. The lessons begin with basic techniques, working their way up through new skill sets in all styles of belly dance including Raqs Sharqi and tribal. In addition to classes, Amaya also leads regular retreats that give students a chance to focus on their dancing in a welcoming environment.
