Founded by local thespians Elizabeth Johnston and Griffin McInnes, Wit’s End Theatre gets audiences giggling with their roster of rollicking plays performed by young, local talent. Tee-hee through a double bill of droll productions nestled in the Bus Stop Theatre’s intimate 60-seat black box, starting off with Sandra Shamas’s My Boyfriend’s Back and There’s Gonna Be Laundry and followed by "The Project: A Night of Sketch Comedy." The former is a short one-woman show that tickles ribs like a flirtatious barbecue-joint diner with witty observations about the ins and outs of love and relationships. Afterward, a lineup of guffaw gurus take the stage to perform a series of sketches meant to bring out the inner child of each theatregoer with slapstick pratfalls and mandatory participation from the audience’s invisible friends. Doors open for all performances at 7:30 p.m.
