Very friendly everywhere! Glad to see it is expanding. The Maya Exhibit was fantastic! Lots of information, great exhibits, a personal visit with a "goddess", the interactive sections were awesome! Great use of space and flow.

What You'll Get

History is like Frankenstein's monster; all it takes to make it come alive is the right education, a large body of artifacts exhumed from the earth, and an electrical storm. Learn from the past with today's Groupon: for $10, you get two general-admission passes plus admission to the Amazon Voyage: Vicious Fishes and Other Riches exhibit at The Witte Museum (up to a $22 value). The exhibit runs through September 5. Kids 3 and younger get free admission to the museum and the exhibits. With this deal, Groupon users can also receive half off a family membership (usually $65, or $60 for seniors).

The Witte Museum, located on the banks of the San Antonio River in Brackenridge Park, promotes education on South Texas history, science, and water resources through imaginative exhibitions, programs, and collections. General admission (up to a $16 value for two people) allows history enthusiasts to brush bandaged elbows with ancient Egyptians in Mummies: Unwrapping the Past or reenact the famous Lincoln vs. Orville Redenbacher debate in front of the Log Cabins and Historical Homes exhibit. The museum's myriad long-term exhibits include cave drawings, dinosaur bones, wildlife dioramas, and even live animals.

Amazon Voyage: Vicious Fishes and Other Riches (a $6 value for admission for two) transports visitors on a trek through the various ecosystems of the Amazon River, introducing fauna such as stingrays, anacondas, and pink dolphins. Observe live piranha feeding, talk to Pepper the Parrot, or amble into the underwater viewing tunnel to spot fishes’ lily underbellies and regrettable fin piercings. Computer interactives, storytelling, original artifacts, dance, music, and live demonstrations encourage the inquisitive to learn about the region's biodiversity and participate in the celebration of the Amazon River.

In the H-E-B Body Adventure, four floors of healthy, interactive adventures engage visitors of all ages, teaching about how the body works and how to stay healthy. By getting a Powerpass, visitors can walk or run down the 13-mile river walk path between the Witte and San Antonio's historic missions, timing the trek along the way to empower the pursuit of sustained health and wellness.
