Woodland Hills Golf
At Woodland Hills Golf Course, not a single hole extends beyond 200 yards—but that isn't to say every hole is easy. The par-27 nine-holer features several holes that would be tests on any course, including fourth and seventh holes that both measure 196 yards. That said, the course is certainly a more welcoming venue for beginners and novices who might not be ready for 500-yard par 5s but still interested in some challenge and fun. For more seasoned players, the course might be a good spot for waking up a long-dormant golf swing, calibrating the short irons, or testing a headcover's durability by wearing it as a shoe. The facility's 300-yard driving range, 7,000-square-foot putting green, and a chipping area facilitate improvement throughout the bag.
Woodland Hills also offers two additional variations on the game: FootGolf. FootGolf's rules are the same as actual golf, except players kick a regulation soccer ball along the fairways towards a 21-inch cup. The course is certainly a more welcoming venue for beginners and novices who might not be ready for 500-yard par 5s but still interested in some challenge and fun.
