Woodsnap transforms personal photos into rich, organic pieces of art by meticulously printing them on slabs of wood. To create each custom, made-to-order canvas, the company literally infuses ink into the wood, which not only allows some of the natural grain to show but also helps the photo's colors pop. Though it's a painstaking process, Woodsnap doesn't rely on machines or outsource its work to unemployed robots: all the sourcing, routing, sanding, printing, and finishing of the wood is completed by Americans. Each piece is printed in house, too, which means customers have the freedom to specify the exact size and style of their order.
