Q:

Hi, I want to buy this Groupon but right now i'm pregnant and won't be due until may. The expiration date for this is Jan 30, 2013. I won't be able to use it. Is there anyway it is possible for me to get this deal?

Nhu-Quynh T.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

Our apologies for the delay. Unfortunately, there is no way to extend the expiration date because it is part of the agreement terms that we worked out with the business prior to offering the deal.

Q:

I'm 57 and myopic. 350 with 150 stigmatism. Is that fixable. I've been told that its one or the other. I don't think I would like mono I ve tried with contacts and didn't like it

Ofelia B.  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

Ofelia - Assuming we determine that you’re a candidate for LASIK, both your myopia and your astigmatism would be correctable. Your level of both fall into the middle range that we’re typically treating. A successful LASIK procedure should leave you with excellent distance vision. The “one or the other” aspect involves your near vision—a 57 year-old with LASIK-corrected distance vision should expect to use reading glasses to see clearly at computer distance and closer. Monovision (using one eye for near and the other for far) is a convenient compromise for some patients, but opting out of monovision after finding it unappealing in contacts is the more sensible way for you to proceed. Q:

I'm in my early 50s..having trouble reading up close...use reading glasses.....getting worse.. Will LASIK surgery work for this?

Cynthia M.  asked on  Nov 27, 2012

A:

Hello Cynthia! What you are describing is presbyopia and there are several options for you to consider. Monovision is a LASIK procedure that we have performed for many patients with presbyopia - simply put, we treat one eye for distance vision and the other for near vision. There are other alternatives to Monovision but we of course would need to evaluate your vision. If it turns out that Monovision is not the ideal procedure to ensure your best vision, please remember that Groupon will refund you 100%.

It is an extra $500 fee per eye for blade-less LASIK. Sorry for the confusion.

Annette B.  from  Self  replied on  Nov 26, 2012

A:

Ok, is blade-less consider custom? The ad mentioned "Custom and Bladeless" ... You reference blade-less in your response.
