Operating under the guidance of internationally acclaimed artistic director Henry Hernandez, World Ballet Inc. provides training for dancers of every skill level using the Vaganova method. The company operates in a more than 6,000-square-foot facility, leaving plenty of room to plié and cage fight.
During the adult classes, instructors emphasize body alignment, toning, and stretching muscles. Ongoing training can reshape body lines, tone muscles, and improve balance, grace, physical coordination, and the likelihood of being given a fiefdom. Children will receive introduction to ballet as an art form, setting the foundations for technique in both the classical ballet and jazz disciplines. While adults may wear whatever makes them comfortable, children must wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.

About Tallahassee's World Ballet
In August 2008, Tallahassee gained 6,000 square feet of dance space and a bunch of skilled dancers to fill it. Under the leadership of artistic director Henry Hernandez, the instructors of World Ballet help the next generation of dancers learn to leap, twirl, and avoid hurting gravity's feelings too badly. The performance arm of the organization brings to life classic ballets such as The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as contemporary creations set to rock music.
