Q:

My digital camera is simply a cannon powershot SD 1200 point and shoot (and I have a 35mm from the good ole days). Is this digital something we can work with in e class or wait until I get a ....SLR (?).

Cat M.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

This class is a great overview of getting started in photography. It's probably better you don't have a camera yet because everyone thinks you have to spend allot of money on one. Costco has changed all that. Eventually if you want to take the next step then yes you need to invest in an SLR. To be honest I've taken amazing photos with my iphone. Thanks, gail

Q:

What is the size of each class?

Susan H.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

Sorry for the late response, I"ve been out of town. Not sure on the class size we were limiting it to 150 at the most. Looks like we will have nice small intimate groups. There will be 4 photographers there to help everyone. I promise it's not a boring slide show. We want to help inspire all the budding photographers out there. Thanks, gail

Q:

What type of camera is required?

Krishna K.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

Hi there, we don't care what kind of camera you bring as the topics will be a broad overview of what's out there. I"m more interested in getting people inspired and in the right direction of shooting rather then getting real technical about equipment. I personally shoot with a 4 year old camera and I"m very happy with it. While my other employees use the latest greatest equipment. It's not the pan the chef uses that makes a great dish, it's the chef and his talent. We all have it, we just need to channel it. Thanks, Gail

Q:

Clarification on date and time information. Are there two classes each Sat and Sun indicated, one at 9 am and one at 2 pm each of the two days? So I can take a class at 2pm sat and the Sunday session will then be at 2pm as well?

Helen W.  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

Yes, the Sunday session would match the Saturday session's time.
