I've used XCom once before in my travels to the Dominican Republic and Haiti and was pleasantly surprised that I had a consistent internet connection when the business I was working with was having internet troubles. As I prepared for my next trip, I was excited to see they offered a Groupon! I love the ease of ordering and the feeling of not needing to worry that my equipment will arrive on time prior to my departure. I have (and will continue) to recommend their services!

We had not trouble getting a wifi signal. We saved on our cellular phone bill because a good wifi signal mention we could use it for skype which is a fraction of the cost ATT would have charged us.

Their prices are the most reasonable and i never had any problem with coverage. Just make sure that you indicate the places you ate visiting very well.

I have rented hotspots from Xcom Global on at least 5 occasions prior to this rental and I've used the service in 9 different countries from Europe to South America to Australia and New Zealand. I've been very pleased with the service coverage and you can't beat the price for unlimited usage. Be careful about purchasing the insurance because there is a substantial deductible when you file a claim. You need to weigh the deductible against the replacement cost of the unit if you loose it. Also, if at all possible, drop off your hotspot at FedEx on your way home from the airport. You only have 1 business day to get your modem on it's way back or late fees start to build up fast. I bring along the return envelope in my car and take the hot spot right to FedEx as soon as I leave the airport. Finally, I would not go for the extra battery. The per day extra is ridiculous. You can use the unit while it's plugged in and it fully charges really fast. Other than that, I'm very pleased and will continue to use Xcom Global. It's a great service and I'm really surprised that there are not many competitors out there that offer this service.

In my experience, this is the premier outside the US internet access company. I travel outside of the US at least twice a year and usually must work on my laptop. I've tried other providers before I found XCom Global and the connection and service exceeds the other companies. I've used XCom Global in Central and South America, throughout Europe and in Israel to my satisfaction. The Groupon came at a perfect time as I'm leaving for France in a couple of weeks and I'm confident that I'll have connectivity and will be able to work there.
