If the Hundred Years' War had been fought with paintballs instead of rifles, it might still be happening, but it'd be so colorful that no one would mind. Experience your own vibrant battlefield with today's Groupon: for $20, you get a basic rental package and three hours of play time at Xtreme Action Paintball in East Walpole (a $40 value).
Xtreme Action Paintball has an expansive, 13,000-square-foot indoor field for year-round play. With the basic package, players get a Tippmann 98 marker and hopper, 200 paintballs, unlimited CO2, all necessary protective equipment, and three hours to unburden themselves of excess ammo and frustration as they battle through long, wood-framed hallways and craftily staged rooms. Xtreme Action Paintball uses only powder-filled pellets, which are cleaner and safer than regular paintballs but still capable of impersonating gumballs and eliciting that satisfying splat.
All players must wear long sleeves and long pants to appear as stylish as possible while protecting precious appendages. Reservations aren't required, but you may wish to call ahead before bringing a group of friends, coworkers, or tax auditors for a battle royale. With a fully stocked onsite pro shop, Xtreme Action Paintball provides players of all levels with everything they need for a take-no-prisoners game of Capture the Flag or the less popular alternative, Time-Share the Flag.
Players must be at least 10 years old. All players must sign a waiver. Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver. This Groupon cannot be used with groups of 10 or more.
- Great field, intense gameplay, and all around satisfying experience that isn't too tough on the wallet. Definitely recommend. – Dan, Google Maps
Xtreme Action Sports
On Xtreme Action Sports' 13,000-square-foot indoor field, every surface in sight is splattered with colorful reminders of paintball impacts. The maze of wood walls draws players into close-range confrontations, forcing them to dive for cover beneath open windows and tactically placed barriers. Whether using paintballs, airsoft pellets, or laser tag markers, teams fan out into the facility in search of opposing players or first aid kids that inexplicably hover and spin in the air. Between competitions, players can return to the pro shop to peruse markers, safety gear, and travel accessories.
