It's easy to forget you're inside a go-kart at Xtreme Racing Center Branson because the vehicles here are no toys. The center's Sodi GT-5 and RT-8 karts accelerate to top speeds of 30 and 40 miles per hour, respectively—and as drivers twist and turn around the winding outdoor track, they take on personas of professional racecar drivers or galaxy explorers who haven't quite saved up enough for a spaceship.
Xtreme's racing computer keeps track of each person's time, so racers can compete against their personal bests. Arcade games, pinball, and an onsite Coldstone Creamery pass the time between trips around the track.
