Unlike Similac Baby Formula, which is reserved for babies and experimenting teens, wine can also be consumed by adults. Separate the towerers from the toddlers with today's Groupon: for $12, you get $20 worth of wine, plus a six-wine tasting (a $5 value), at Yamhill Valley Vineyards in McMinnville. This deal is valid toward any 2007 bottled wines ($9–$20).
Yamhill Valley Vineyards is a 100-acre vineyard that nurtures and nourishes pinot noir, pinot blanc, pinot gris, and Riesling grape varieties. These grapes, and these grapes alone (Yamhill does not buy grapes from other areas), wiggle into Yamhill’s bottles to create delicate, light flavors in the 2007 pinot noir Oregon or complex tastes in the 2007 pinot blanc Reserve, which is fermented in oak barrels, not to lend it oaky overtones, but instead a silky, creamy texture and imperviousness to sarcasm. During your six-wine tasting, you’ll sample these two 2007 varietals in addition to 2007’s pinot noir Estate and pinot gris and 2008’s pinot noir Reserve and Riesling.
The vineyard is currently in the heart of harvest season, a special time of year created by Neil Young, so it’s an ideal time to enjoy its outdoor charms. Arriving guests are greeted by picturesque grape-growing vistas neatly folded along the rolling foothills of Oregon's Coast Range Mountains. Let your eyes move over the panorama or a nearby koi fishpond as you sip and swirl on the estate's deck. If the six-wine tasting isn't enough juice to decide which wine will be worthy for your stomach, grape gurus are on hand to help you find the appropriate potables. Tasting times are by appointment only from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.

About Yamhill Valley Vineyards
Past a covered gate, a dusty road rambles through row after row of heavy vines at Yamhill Valley Vineyards, leading back to the winery and rustic tasting room that overlooks the rolling hills. At the 150-acre estate in the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range Mountains, Yamhill's viticulturists grow, produce, and bottle all of their own grapes. The vineyard’s specialty pinots comprise the majority of tasting flights, which can be sipped in the sunny tasting room or on the outdoor picnic area, complete with a deck.
