Q:

Do you send the original pictures back in the same order in which you received? I went through all my photo albums 4 years ago and have them in order (file like in shoebox) according to year. Would you break between each year? Do you add text - for example: 1980 - trip to Grand Canyon with Jo, Nate, and Stef. Went to reunion in CO and then rented car and drove through Mesa Verde National Park etc? Mary Jo Malafa

Mary J.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Hi Mary, Thanks for your question. We send all your originals back to you once we've completed the transfer process along with your new CD (DVD for video). We don't add text but we do try and keep them in the order you send them to us. You can then load them onto your computer and use any photo software you prefer and add additional text, etc.

Q:

Hello. I have 38 - 8mm films (3 in. small reels) that I would like to convert to DVD. How many Groupons would I nee?. How many will fit on a DVD? Thanks.

Ted D.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hi Ted, Thanks for your question. The Groupon deal is only one per household. Since you are looking to transfer a large number of film reels, please email support@yesvideo.com and ask for bulk pricing where we can give you a great discount for large orders. You would not be able to use the Groupon with the bulk discount but it will be a better option and save you significantly more for your large order.

Q:

Instead of converting three VHS tapes to DVD, can I convert one VHS tape to three DVD's for the same cost?

Alethea B.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hi Alethea, Thanks for your question. The $60 value can be used any way you'd like. The examples that Groupon listed are really just samples of what some customers might chose to use their $60 value on. It is entirely up to you. You can use our price calculator during the order process at http://direct.yesvideo.com/telluswhatyouhave.aspx to determine your price before adding your Groupon coupon code and completing the order process. For more info please check out our FAQ at http://www.yesvideo.com/groupon.

Q:

Will you pick the good ones from a video into the DVD?

Natividad H.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Hi Natividad, thanks for the question. At this time, we do not provide a service to edit the footage before it is transferred to a DVD. However, I would like to take this time to let you know that you are placing a film, video tape, or digital media transfer order will include access to our MemoryShare website which will allow you to view, share, edit and order additional copies of your videos online. While you won't be able to edit the footage prior to receiving a DVD, you can always use our online editing tool to create an additional customized DVD for $8.99 plus shipping. Q:

*Where would I be sending my order into? *How long is the turn around time until I would receive my order back from you? *Do i have to pay for return shipping as well? *If I can only purchase 1 coupon and I have six more reels and 6 additional VHS tapes, what would my costs be?

jan m.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Hi Jan! Our facility is located in Santa Clara, CA. Most orders take 10-14 days from the time we receive your materials to the time we ship it back to you. Our process takes time but ensures the highest quality product. We ship your newly created DVDs along with your original media via UPS for a flat rate of $10.99 per order.

Since our pricing for film is $0.18 per foot, not according to reels, we would need more information to better answer your question. The most common reel sizes and their corresponding costs are listed below:
3" reels hold 50 feet when full; this means that each full reel would cost $9, for a total of $54 for six reels.   5" reels hold 200 feet when full; this means that a each reel would cost $36.00, for a total of $216 for six reels.   7" reels hold 400 feet when full; this means that a each reel would cost $72.00, for a total of $432.00 for six reels.

Our pricing for video tapes is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made, with a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. Considering this, six video tapes would have a base price of $119.94.

To calculate what your order would cost, you can visit our page here and tell us what you have; it will automatically give you a quote depending on the quantity you enter! You can also view our pricing list on that page. I hope this helps!
