Q:

Does all the media to be transfered need to be the same, in other words can I send in one VHS tape and one 8 mm reel to be put on one DVD Hope my question is not confusing Thanks Gary

Gary L.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Thanks for you question, Gary! The Groupon deal is worth $60 of our transfer services; this means that you are free to use it to transfer any type or quantity of our supported formats! You can submit a VHS tape and film reel in a one order however, we cannot combine different media formats in one DVD. The video tape and the film reel will be transferred in separate DVDs. Our pricing for video tapes is $19.99 per video tape, up to 2 hours. For film to DVD, the cost is $0.18 per foot of film to DVD. Q:

We have about 180 negative pics from our wedding. If I bought two of these groupon deals could we get them all done?

Andra a.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Hi Andrea, thanks for your question. Our Groupon is only available on a one per customer basis so purchasing two isn't an option at this time (it's such a great deal we'd lose a lot of money if you were able to do more than the $60 value that we're offering for $20). We charge $0.49 per slide so you could get all your slides transferred for $88.20 plus shipping. You could apply your Groupon ($60) and simply pay the remaining costs and still get a really good deal! Cheers!

Q:

Can you do 8 millimeter films?

Larry B.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Hi Larry, thanks for the question. Yes! Our supported film formats include 8 mm, super 8, and 16 mm. The pricing for film transfers is $0.18 per foot. Since this Groupon is for $60, that would be equivalent to 333 feet of film! To learn more about our Groupon deal and transfer service, you can also visit our website here.

Q:

When our 17 yr old was little, we had a camcorder (compact) the cartridges fit into a special vhs cartridge so they can be played through the vcr onto the tv, or you could watch them through the camcorder screen. I don't know what the running time is on these little cartridges, so I need to know how many of those would be covered with this Groupon offer. And do you send the original cartridges back?

Robin W.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

Hi Robin. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made, with a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. All original media and accessories submitted are returned, but you do also want to keep in mind that we have all the equipment necessary to transfer your tapes; this means that you would not need to send in your adapter with your order. Hi Kim, thanks for the question. Yes, we are able to convert 7" super 8 film! Our pricing is $0.18 per foot; since 7" reels generally 400 feet when full, each reel would be approximately $72. Q:

If this offer is not valid for drop-off orders at retail locations and we have to ship our materials to Yes Video I have 2 questions... 1) how do they know we are getting the Groupon price and 2) to where do we ship the items

Richard L.  asked on  Feb 5, 2013

A:

1) Yes, they know.

2) When you open your Groupon, it will include redemption instructions under the "How to use this" section.

To access your Groupon, please sign into your account at http://www.groupon.com. Once you are signed in, you will see your name at the top of the deal page. Put your cursor over your name and your account menu will drop down. Here you'll be able to find your Groupons in the section called "My Groupons".

You can view and print a Groupon by clicking the "View Voucher" button and get all the information you need to properly redeem it.
