Q:

I have a number of super 8 films I would like to put onto DVD format. However, some of the films have breaks . Can you work with these?

Beverly S.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Great question! We can repair movie film if if it is received with some breaks. However, it is important to note that completely loose film cannot be submitted; all film it must be on a reel. Our pricing is $0.18 per foot, so this Groupon will cover the transfer of approximately 333 feet of film! Q:

I have a VHS tape that is stuck (it won't play, fast forward or rewind. I also am unable to spin the wheels manually). Is there anything that your company can do to transfer the tape to DVD?

Kathy M.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Excellent question, Kathy! If you send in a broken video tape, we would first need to repair it in order to transfer it on to a DVD; we cannot transfer a tape broken. We can repair videotapes if the ribbon is snapped, wrinkled, or if the case is broken. Keep in mind that when we repair a wrinkled ribbon, the footage in that section will be lost. The additional cost for video tape repairs is $10.00 for a ribbon repair and $15.00 for a repair with case replacement. Although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to repair your tape, as we do not know the level of damage, it is definitely worth a try! Q:

Hello My photos are a little messed up in the album . Can you transfer them digitally and have them look like new?

Cheryl M.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

Hi Cheryl, thanks for your questions. Although we will do our best to enhance your photos, we cannot restore them. Each image is transferred at 12 megapixel resolution-- one of the highest in the industry in quality. For every image that we process, we manually clean up the images as opposed to running them through a software program. This clean-up includes: rotation to the correct orientation, cropping of borders to the correct size, color correction which means white balance correction, fixing faded colors & tints, red-eye removal, and dust & scratch removal. Since our pricing is $0.49 per image, this Groupon will cover up to 122 images. To learn more about our service and great Groupon deal, you can also visit our website here.

Q:

I have several 7" and 3" reels of super 8 with audio. Will this offer be good for all reels or only one. Dan W.

Danny W.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

Great question, Danny! The deal is for you to spend the $60 any way you wish for our supported media types. Our pricing is not per reel, but $0.18 per foot. This Groupon is valid for any supported film format and reel size. Since this deal is for $60 worth of our services, that would be equivalent to approximately 333 feet of film. To calculate what you can get out of the Groupon with the reels that you have, you can visit our page here and tell us what you have; it will automatically give you a quote depending on the quantity you enter! I hope this helps!

Q:

I have 10 VHS tapes I would like to convert to DVDs but don't know what the cost on them would be. How many groupons would I need to cover all expenses for the 10?

Judy G.  asked on  Feb 7, 2013

A:

Thanks for the question, Judy! Our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made, with a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. Taking this into consideration, the final cost of your order would depend on the duration time of your tapes, but your order would have a base cost of $199.90. This would leave an outstanding balance of $139.90 after the Groupon discount. In regards to the number of Groupons, please note that this deal does have a limit of one (1) per person and per order; due to this, you would not be able to use more than one Groupon.
