How many 8mm movie reels can you place on one DVD? Each reel runs for about 10 minutes.

Thanks for the question, Judith! We are able to place 1,600 feet of 8 mm film on one DVD. The amount of feet a reel hold is dependent on its size; you can determine the size of your reel by measuring the diameter across. Below is an example of the most common reel sizes and the quantity we are able to place on one DVD:
- 3" reels hold approximately 50 feet when full, so we can fit up to 32 of these reels on one DVD.
- 5" reels hold approximately 200 feet when full, so we can fit up to 8 of these reels on one DVD.
- 7" reels hold approximately 400 feet when full, so we can fit up to 4 of these reels on one DVD.
If you have varying sizes, you can always visit our page here to calculate how many DVDs your order will require. You can also determine what you can get out of the Groupon with the media that you have on the page. Simply tell us what you have, and it will automatically give you a quote depending on the quantity you enter! I hope this helps!
