Q:

I have some old cassettes that I'd like to put on DVD's......can this be done? They are when I used to sing in Chicago....

A:

Hi Susan, thank you for your question! We can transfer video tapes, film reels, slides, photo prints and digital media to DVD. If the cassettes you have are audio cassettes, unfortunately we cannot transfer those to DVD. You can see the various media we can transfer by visiting our webpage here. To learn more about our Groupon offer and read more about our transfer service, you can also visit our website here.

Q:

I have numerous 8mm and mini VHS cassettes. Do you put one tape on one DVD regardless of the length of the VHS tape, or do you put multiple VHS tapes on the DVD if space allws for it on the DVD? For instance if I have 20 8MM tapes does that mean I have to purchase 20 DVD's for conversion? Thanks

A:

Hi Sarah, thank you for the question! Our pricing is per video tape, not according to hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. The '2 hour' limit is listed in the event that you have a tape longer than two hours. Since the DVDs can hold up to 2 hours, any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made and a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. To learn more about our Groupon offer and read more of our frequently asked questions, you can also visit our website at www.yesvideo.com/groupon.

Q:

What if I have a mix, such as 1 film reel and 2 super 8 video tapes?

Greg M.  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

Great question, Greg! The deal is for you to spend the $60 any way you wish for our supported media types. So, the $60's worth is dependent on the quantity and type of media you would like to transfer. Since you pay a la carte for your order, you can have combinations of the supported media types as well (different media types will go on different DVDs, but they can be placed in the same order). To calculate what you can get out of the Groupon with the media that you have, you can visit our page here and tell us what you have; it will automatically give you a quote depending on the quantity you enter! You can also view our pricing list on that page. I hope this helps!
