Q:

Can you take 30 mins from a few Beta tapes and put onto one and count it as 1 dvd?

Dr. B.  asked on  Feb 6, 2013

A:

Thanks for the question, Dr. B! We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made, with a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. With the Groupon offer, you are receiving three transfers for the price of one! Q:

I have two approx. 7" reels of super 8 film. Can you give me some idea of the cost to convert to a DVD? thanks, ed

Ed H.  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

Thanks for the question, Ed! Our pricing is $0.18 per foot, not per reel. Since 7" reels generally hold 400 feet when full, the cost to transfer your two reels would amount to approximately $144 ($72 each full reel). We have VHS-C (compact) videos, 30-minutes each. Can 4 be transferred onto a DVD? Will it count as 4 video tapes or one? Thanks.

Steven S.  asked on  Feb 4, 2013

A:

Hi Steven, thanks for the question! Our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Q:

I have a video tape that is longer then 2 hours. Can it all be transferred to a couple DVDs? Will it cost more or can it count as the 3 different video tapes in one? Also I am doing this as a surprise for my husband and it is the only video footage he has of his deceased father so how safe is this? It would kill me if the tape got lost forever.

Vanessa O.  asked on  Feb 3, 2013

A:

Hi Vanessa, thank you for your interest in our service. We can definitely transfer a video tape that is longer than two hours! Our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. The 2 hour limit is listed in the event that you have a tape longer than two hours. Since the DVDs can hold up to 2 hours, any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made and a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. Since the Groupon deal is for $60 worth of our service, that would be equivalent to 3 two-hour tapes or 1 six-hour tape!

Q:

I have a bunch of family photo albums I'd like to digitize. Is it correct that I can send (or bring in to save on shipping?) the albums and you will do the rest? In other words, you digitize the photos and return the albums as they were? Thanks, Toby (tchamberlain@iname.com)

Toby C.  asked on  Feb 2, 2013

A:

Hi Toby, great question. You are correct! Our equipment transfers photos without removing any images from your album, or even removing the cellophane covers that protects them. You receive your albums back exactly as they were received!

It is important to note that this Groupon offer is for our YesVideo Direct service only and is not redeemable at a retail location; this means that you'll send your materials directly to our transfer facility in Santa Clara, CA; in case you are wondering, you can definitely use part of your Groupon value toward the shipping if you would like to do so!
