Q:

I have the negatives from the professional photos taken at my wedding 15 years ago in 4 X 6 format. Can you convert these negatives to digital? How many negatives could you transfer for the groupon value? thank you.

Rhonda H.  asked on  Feb 10, 2013

A:

Hi Rhonda, thanks for the question. We are capable of transferring professional media, but we must follow the US Copyright Laws when transferring all professional footage. Any copyright-protected material, such as Hollywood movie videotapes and videotaped television programs, cannot be processed without a copyright release form signed by the copyright owner. As long as your negatives are supported, we can transfer them! Our supported negative formats include: 35mm, APS film, 110 film, 110/220 film, 126 "Instamatic" film, large negatives. Since our pricing is $0.49 per image, your Groupon would cover 122 images. To learn more about our Groupon offer and read more of our frequently asked questions, you can also visit our website here.

Q:

Is it as many vcr tapes that add up to a total of 6 hours or 3 vcr tapes of up to 6 hours of tape?

Glenn S.  asked on  Feb 9, 2013

A:

Hi Glenn, Thanks for your question. The examples are just that--examples of what you can spend your $60 transfer value on. For each VHS tape we create one DVD up to 2 hours (as that's all a DVD will generally hold). So, any videotape less than 2 hours is still one DVD (videotapes cannot be combined onto one DVD). So, three VHS tapes to three DVDs is just about $60. You would still be responsible for getting your materials to us, the return shipping ($10.99) and any applicable tax depending on where you live. You can create an estimate with our price calculator at http://direct.yesvideo.com/telluswhatyouhave.aspx. Cheers!
