Q:

Hi! I have several Mini DV tapes that I would like to send in. In the case of one or two of them, I'm not sure if anything is on the tape. Do you charge if a tape ends up being blank, and therefore won't be converted? (My camcorder these belonged to is broken so I have no way of checking the status myself before sending in). Thanks for your help!

Cathy  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Thank you for the question, Cathy! You will not be charged if the tape you submit is blank. If there is footage on your tape, our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to 2 hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. The 2 hour limit is listed in the event that you have a tape longer than two hours. Since the DVDs can hold up to 2 hours, any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made and a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. If they are too damaged or brittle to handle, we will not process them. Q:

What about photos and negatives? I have a couple boxes of pictures and negatives different sizes. How many pictures per cd? How are they to be sent? Does sender organize a certain way and then send?

Terosia M.  asked on  Feb 8, 2013

A:

Thank you for your question, Terosia. You can submit photo prints or negatives for conversion to us. Our pricing is $0.49 per image to DVD. The Groupon is worth $60 of our services, so it can cover up to 122 images to DVD (without tax or shipping). Since we create a Data DVD with just the .jpeg images of your pictures, we can fit approximately 800 images to a DVD. The exact amount that we can fit on a DVD depends on the file size of the picture or negative that you submit. There are several ways to ship your order to us. You can: purchase an EasyShip Kit, a prepaid shipping label from our company, or use a self-shipping method. If you choose self-shipping, no additional charges would be added to your order and the cost of shipping would be determined by the courier service you wish to use. If you choose to purchase a prepaid shipping label from us, you can do so during checkout. The cost is a flat $9.99 and you will receive a UPS label to print out after your order is submitted. You may also ship your order through our EasyShip Kit. With the EasyShip Kit, all you do is place an order for the kit (priced at $19.99), pack up your materials in the box we provide and send to us via prepaid postage -- we do the rest. Shipping back to you is a flat $10.99. In regards to organization, if you want your images transferred in a sequence, you can number the pictures and include a note with your order to follow the numbering on them. I hope this helps!
