A Chat with Yoga at the Center for Mindful Change
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Center for Mindful Change is focused on providing a holistic approach to improve the body and mind. CFMC recently opened its new yoga studio in Independence Mall. In addition to yoga, we offer psychotherapy, meditation training, massage therapy, nutritional counseling, reiki, and craniosacral therapy.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
We provide a variety of classes to meet our students’ needs and to help their yoga practice evolve. We are aware that yoga helps address physical and emotional issues. We work collaboratively with other health practitioners at Center for Mindful Change to help you grow as a whole.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
CFMC was first started as a mental-health therapy practice in 2010. Following our success, we decided to make a commitment to treat the whole person, not just one part of a person. We committed to adding other modalities of healing to empower our clients. Yoga was a natural fit.
What do you love most about your job?
I am so excited that CFMC has made a commitment to treat both the mind and body of our clients. By adding yoga, we know that clients will gain so many physical and emotional rewards. We all practice yoga, meditation, and positive coping skills. We know firsthand of the benefits.
