About Yoga Bee Studio
Bees help our ecosystem thrive, pollinating plants as they fly between them to keep our planet's flora diverse and healthy. Yoga serves a similarly comprehensive, connective purpose for the health of our minds and bodies, according to instructors Julia and Nicole Bush. That, and the honey moat they built, is why they named their center Yoga Bee Studio. The classes they and instructor Jennie teach incorporate a variety of sensory elements and yoga styles. "Practicing multiple styles and techniques," say the Bushes, "allows your body to feel its full range of experience."
Among the classes Julia, Nicole, and Jennie teach is Candelight Vinyasa, which is designed to shift students' focus toward the way poses feel rather than what's going on around them. There's also hot Vinyasa, which takes place when the wood-accented studio reaches 90 to 100 degrees. Hatha routines feature poses held for extended periods of time. Restorative classes are recommended for those who are older or healing from injuries. They use props, like soft wedges and rubber chickens that give pep talks, for a gentler experience.
