What You'll Get
Now that you've converted all your sock wear into stylish head wear, keep the productivity going with invigorating body physics. Today's Groupon gets you four yoga classes of your choosing at Yoga One for $20. If you want to double your yoga action, buy two Groupons and take eight body-bending classes. A flexible body inspires a flexible mind that can turn any article of clothing into a different article of clothing or do simple math.
Yoga One's friendly, enthusiastic instructors are led by Amy Caldwell, whose 12 years of experience have landed her on the cover of Yoga Journal more than once and earned the studio the Best of San Diego from CityBeat six times. Amy and company are fully certified and know how to help students sweat and stretch until they're calmer, more energized, and more revitalized than the 217 rechargeable AA batteries that power Greater America. If you're new to yoga, this is a great chance to learn the downward dog, upward dog, and the omniscient narrator. Yoga stretches your muscles, relieving stiffness and pain; it also increases flexibility and strength (deep core muscles support each pose), which will improve your range of motion, balance, and posture, all vital to moving up in the corporate world, seeing over the steering wheel, and slicing your morning bagel.
Choose the class that fits your experience level and suits your body's interests. Balance your breathing, moving, and thinking with hatha yoga or the more rigorous postures of vinyasa flow. Other options include ashtanga, yoga for backs, yoga for beginners, prenatal yoga, candelight flow, and more. With classes scheduled from morning until night five days a week and mornings on weekends, plan your four classes around your busy schedule. When you open your body and soul up to the dictations of the yogic universe, all kinds of fashion tips and curious wine and cheese pairings will flow pleasantly into your enlightened psyche.
You must use your four classes within one month of the first class. You may buy two Groupons to use toward eight classes.
- It's hard to pinpoint what it is about Yoga One that makes it the best studio in San Diego. Most likely, it's the radiant, warm energy that embodies the principles of yoga: acceptance, openness, non-judgement. – missmev, Citysearch

About Yoga One
In 1997, Amy Caldwell discovered yoga. As she backpacked through Asia, Australia, and parts of Europe, she stopped to train with yogis she met along the way, exploring the styles of Vinyasa flow, Sivananda, Iyengar, and Ashtanga. As she learned, she blended these styles into her own dynamic flow. Since this nomadic journey, Amy's rapidly developing skills have earned her a spot on two Yoga Journal covers. Today, as owners of Yoga One studio, she and her husband Michael incorporate their own unique yoga and meditation styles into their teachings.
The flexible duo leads a team of experienced instructors, who foster a positive, non-competitive environment and also specialized in different styles of yoga, such as sunrise flow, Vinyasa flow, and gentle flow. Inside the main studio, where natural light from skylights casts a glow onto hardwood floors and saffron curtains, instructors lead groups through classes that cover optimal alignment, breath, and present-moment awareness. They also guide students outside the studio to stretch and align on a sunny rooftop in Little Italy. Inside softly lit massage rooms, therapists help visitors release tension from aching muscles.
