Summer camps are the best way to give kids a taste of freedom without having them lick the Liberty Bell. Ring in summertime with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $35 for three days of Synergy summer kids camp, available Monday–Friday from June 11 to August 9, between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. (a $75 value)
- $55 for five days of the above camp (a $125 value)
Camp leaders divide kids aged 5–11 into two age groups before bolstering their exploration of yoga, dance and capoeira, reading, hip hop, and hand-made arts and crafts. Camp is held at Synergy Center for Yoga and the Healing Arts, which boasts more than 15 years in business, and staffers provide extra care after camp—from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.—for an extra cost.
Certified Kundalini yoga instructor “BB” Shabdpreet Kaur—who's fluent in both English and Spanish—helms Yoga Sprouting, a center that educates adults and children alike on the art of breathing, relaxation through body movement, and meditation. Accented by percussion from a symphonic gong, her sessions strive to bolster immune systems and heighten awareness without outlawing blinking. Children’s classes—expanded into camps during summer months—incorporate strands of song, storytelling and games, imparting engaging relaxation techniques from a curriculum recently adopted by Miami Children's Museum Charter School.
