We offer level 1 classes for beginners as well as a Fundamentals of Yoga class that preps new students with yoga basics and yoga etiquette to prepare you for class. Flexibility should not be a deterrent - our teachers can work with students and our classes tend to warm the body up through our sequences to allow it to open up more; plus, each individual can adjust the pose to his/her capability and the more one practices, the more flexible one can become. If someone has a bad back, he/she should definitely mention it at the start of class to the teacher. Some of our studios offer therapeutic, gentle and restorative classes that can be good and at times we offer workshops specific to helping people with back injuries. For the older student, we offer again Iyengar 1 classes that use props, gentle yoga, yin yoga, restoratives, therapeutics/back classes. Age ranges can vary - although the average age of our students are from 35-55, we have quite a diverse mix of younger and older practitioners.
