Yoga reunites the mind and body, which often separate after jumping off a roof into a kiddie pool filled with baby oil. Get the gang back together with today's Groupon: for $5, you get a yoga class at Yoga World Studio (up to a $17 value), at either the Los Altos studio or the downtown studio, both located in Long Beach.
Yoga World's classes are based off the Hatha yoga techniques, with levels from beginner to advanced and activity levels from gentle to intense. Yoga World Studio emphasizes the introspective, meditative aspects of yoga, allowing students to feel a deep connection within themselves as well as reaping bendy benefits. Beginners can try a basic class to learn the fundamental postures, breathing exercises, and cheers, or they can focus on alignment and meditation with the gentle yoga class. The intermediate class teaches Asana, Pranayama, and meditation, while an all-level therapeutic yoga class combines breathing and awareness exercise with restorative poses to alleviate soreness. Advanced levels include flow and prana flow, which push the body and mind for a holistic, intense experience.
New clients and clients who have not taken a yoga class for 60 days only.

- This studio is perfect for beginners, intermediates, and -judging from my accidental attendance at an advanced class- the very experienced. – Miss K. on the West Ocean Boulevard location, Yelp
Yoga World Studios
Having studied extensively in particular schools of yoga, instructors bring their individual training into the studio, focusing on disciplines that range from the physically challenging to mentally reflective, and include Iyengar, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, and Anusara. In addition to their regular yoga lessons, the Yoga World team also leads mat-Pilates classes, workshops, and private instruction. They use the art of yoga for healing in one-on-one sessions of Thai yoga therapy, which blends shiatsu massage with acupressure, or they coordinate beachside retreats full of yoga, surfing, and yoga-surfing.
