Yoki treats its guests to Japanese standards such as broiled freshwater eel, teriyaki steak, pan-fried udon noodles, and hand-rolled maki. Like pajamas worn with an ascot, the atmosphere is casual yet upscale. Contemporary local art frames a laid-back bar stocked with 10 different varieties of sake, where diners carefully pinch their chopsticks around thin-sliced sashimi and plump, pork-filled gyoza dumplings.
The place was nice and fun. The sushi was very fresh but the service was OK. Once we were seated no one came over to take our order and we had to finally flag down a waitress. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised!
