What You'll Get
Much like Ted Williams and Barbaro, yogurt is full of so much greatness that it must be frozen so that it can be shared with future generations. Ponder this cold, cold legacy over a cup of today's deal: for $10, you get $20 worth of frozen yogurt at Yoppi Yogurt. This deal is only valid at its Financial District location on Sansome Street. During your first visit to Yoppi, your Groupon will be exchanged for a balance-carrying gift card, which will quickly become the envy of the credit cards, nephew pictures, and ninja stars in your wallet or purse.
Like post offices, butcher shops, and old-timey apothecaries, Yoppi utilizes a "pay by weight" concept, meaning you can get as little or as much frozen yogurt as your internal torso pouch can handle. It's all self-serve to boot, so precise amounts are in the hands of the ravenous or slightly peckish individual. Choose from a vast swath of yogurt flavors and over 45 toppings for $0.45 per ounce, $7.20 per pound, or $1.59 per hectogram. Regular flavors include signature tart, classic chocolate, french vanilla, and cappuccino. Rotating flavors include acai-blackberry tart, peach tart, blueberry tart, coconut pineapple tart, mango tart, strawberry tart, white chocolate raspberry tart, and many more. Fruit toppings come in traditional and exotic varieties like kiwi, lychee, and mango, while dry toppings range from NY cheesecake to ultra-healthy pumpkin ground flax seed granola.
Frozen yogurt is a healthy alternative to ice cream, a cold alternative to warm yogurt, and a preferable alternative to living with a curse that turns all food to ashes in your despairing mouth. Yoppi also provides a bright, colorful environment in which to guiltlessly indulge, and walls painted in citrus hues that only add to fro-yo cravings. The yogurt-cradling supplies are also earth friendly. Be friendly to earth inhabitants by sharing some cool, creamy Yoppi Yogurt with a few friends, family members, or surprised strangers.
- At its grand opening last month, Yoppi Yogurt, located at 475 Sansome Street, had customers lining up and even extending outside the shop, despite our struggling economy. One customer even exclaimed, “The rain could not keep me away — I will be there everyday.” – Sye-Ok Sato, Asian Week
- I got myself a small cup of the original tart fro-yo and went over to the topping station and sprinkled on some fresh strawberries and mango cubes. (Oh, and I couldn't resist and topped it off with a cherry.) – Single Guy Ben, Cooking with the Single Guy
- Great assortment of topping and 2 non-tart and 2 tart yogurt options. – Stacy T., Yelp
