Nowadays, it's not uncommon to know someone who runs long distances for fun, everything from 5Ks to half marathons to marathons. The people who do it really seem to love it, and they often try to recruit others to join them, but sometimes they forget how daunting it can be. That's where Pamela Otero comes in. She's an RRCA-certified running coach and the co-owner of YOU inspired! Fitness, where she trains people to run in 10Ks and half marathons.
The training program consists of 14–19 weeks of interval training, long runs and walks on Sunday morning, core and stretching classes mid-week, and workshops with fitness experts. And it's not just for runners. Otero strongly encourages walkers and beginners to participate and promises a supportive atmosphere full of encouragement.
YOU inspired! Fitness also offers traditional group fitness classes, including spin sessions set to the beats of songs from the '60s, '70s, and '80s, as well as personal training.
