A picture is worth a thousand words, which is why the best-paid novelists write in rebuses. Help young ones express themselves succinctly with today's Groupon: for $15, you get four weekly children's drawing classes at Young Rembrandts in Parma (a $36 value). Choose from classes in August, September, October, or November. Then choose from the following options:
- Preschool drawing classes for kids aged 3.5–5
- Elementary drawing classes for kids aged 6–12
- Cartoon-drawing classes for kids aged 7–13
Following a time-tested step-by-step method, Young Rembrandts' instructors lead budding gallery fillers through a four-week process of artistic discovery by focusing on subject matter that resonates with kids. Preschoolers capitalize on their vivid imaginations during small group classes with no more than 10 other youngsters, learning to properly wield and use a pencil, follow directions, and develop tax-form-ready handwriting. In the elementary program, 18–20 students build on drawing skills and glean valuable knowledge about artistic approaches and concepts, such as art history, still life, color theory, and the techniques for under-the-bed-monster portraits. Animation abounds in the cartoon program where each of the 18–20 comic crafters will invent lively characters by incorporating movement, fully functioning respiratory systems, and sound into their magnum opuses. Pre-school classes are available during the day from Monday to Saturday; elementary and cartoon classes are available in the evenings during the week and during the day on Saturday. A full schedule will be available online starting July 25th.
Young Rembrandts' artistic curricula can help students develop core art skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and strategies for problem-solving. All colored pencils and markers necessary for creation are provided, while Parisian berets are optional.
