What equipment is provided? Is there anything visitors need to bring?
No previous dance experience is required. This class is suitable for all levels. Students should wear comfortable exercise appropriate clothing, and be prepared to dance barefoot, in socks, or in dance shoes. No street shoes allowed on dance floor. Hip scarves are encouraged.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Zahra began her formal education of Belly Dance in 2004, and in 2007, decided to share her passion with others. Realizing the health benefits of Belly Dance, physical and emotional, she was inspired to create an exercise class that would both excite and motivate students.
What do you love most about your job?
The joy on students faces when they realize their body is capable of more than they thought, gain self-awareness and self acceptance, and embrace the historical and cultural significance of Belly Dance, is the greatest reward.
