The quaint shop is the crafty child of bead enthusiast Trish, who nurtures novice beaders as they cultivate blossoming desires to decorate string. The Beginner Class takes place over three hours, during which students will learn the basic concepts of the age-old art of bead control, including working with different designs and colors, utilizing proper finishing techniques, and understanding which herbs can be burned to make beads levitate. Customers can select from Zelda’s large collection of beads to create a custom piece of jewelry to take home and wear every day no matter what. Accoutrements include talisman pewter beads, semi-precious stones such as garnets and amethysts, colorful glass beads, seed beads, 24-karat macaroni noodles, and many more.
Classes for beginners currently take place every third Monday of the month, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with additional classes to be added as necessary. Upcoming classes are posted online.
