What an awesome and unique experience! We had a fantastic time sculpting glass for this class. We made the stems of wine glasses with twisted colors of our own choosing. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendliness. The same gentleman did a quick overview of how the project worked and we were handed off to a second gentleman. He was very quiet, difficult to converse with, and seemed irritated with questions and inexperience. Nothing about the class suggested we'd have to come back again to get our product... had to pay for shipping as I am from out of state.

About This Deal

Artists always want muses without realizing they are a big responsibility—demanding regular walks, a ticket to every sunset, and smoothies made of old pastels and greek yogurt. Cultivate your creativity an easier way with this voucher.

Choose from Three Options

  • $60.50 for a one-hour Make Your Own Wine Glass Workshop for one (a $99 value)
  • $119 for a one-hour Make Your Own Wine Glass Workshop for two (a $198value)
  • $500 for a private two-hour make-your-own-project workshop for up to four (a $500 value)

During wineglass workshops, instructors teach students to forge wineglasses by hand by shaping liquid glass into custom vessels. Though that class focuses on wineglasses, students can also create beer glasses, pendants, marbles, paperweights, or vases. All of those projects are available during private sessions, in which attendees may choose from any of the above options to create their own vitreous masterpieces.

About Zen Glass Studios

Much like professional skydivers, wily coyotes, and other careers that involve a degree of danger, most professional glassblowers aren’t self-taught. Joshua Poll, however, learned to harness the glass furnace all by himself, today imparting more than a decade of self-taught experience to Zen Glass Studios, where he and fellow glass smith David Walker create custom works of art by hand. Together they shape glass into authentic and unique pieces, including custom glassware and jewelry to wear while meeting a spouse’s goldfish for the first time.

Within their studio, Joshua and David teach workshops and classes, during which students survey basic to advanced glass-blowing techniques, crafting their own handmade objects such as ornaments, beer glasses. The duo also runs a full glassblower training program, which follows a syllabus structured to arm all students with all the necessary skills to set out on their own in the industry, just as Joshua did all those years ago.
