What You'll Get
Today’s bi-flavored Groupon invites you to an epicurean Epcot Center. For $25, you’ll get $50 worth of Latin-Asian tastes at Zengo, an ethnic eatery from famed restaurateur and Denver magazine’s 2009 person of power Richard Sandoval.
This fusion-friendly restaurant follows Sandoval’s signature style: a playful décor (orange circular sofas, expressive floral artwork, a dining room decked out in warm tones) and a menu of innovative flavor combinations. Splurge on spicy sushi such as the Angry Zengo roll, meaty chunks of yellowfin tuna and avocado with sesame-chipotle rouille and wasabi tobiko ($12), or the sesame-chipotle aioli-sauced Volcano roll ($12). Other successful mash-ups include won ton tacos ($12), curried mussels ($13), and vegetarian rice dishes ($8).
Zengo is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Get this Groupon for a multisensory celebration of food and flair, or as a fast and affordable alternative to importing and reassembling Latin and Asian food to look like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Famed restaurateur Richard Sandoval has secured plenty of press, with mentions in the Rocky Mountain News, Denver Post, 5280, The Liquid Muse, and more:
- It’s the equivalent of a Mexican vacation spent on an Asian bamboo beach mat. – 5280
Citysearchers give Zengo four stars:
- So my girls and i like to have our girls nights and this is the perfect spot for some good drinks, good food and a great vibe. Location is great also! – hiphophoney85
- My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was WONDERFUL. The best California rolls and Calamari in town. Would recommend this for anyone and a great place for drinks. – KJK2
