During the space race, American astronauts trained in amusement parks, braving the Tilt-a-Whirl and spinning teacups. Prepare for space adventures with today's Groupon: for $40, you get a one-day unlimited ride pass at Zero Gravity Thrill Amusement Park (up to a $79.99 value). This Groupon is valid for single-day admission on June 23, July 21, or August 18.

For nearly 20 years, Zero Gravity has continuously developed new and better ways to hurl Texans and European businessmen through Dallas's green sky. Thrillseekers explore an Arcadia of kinetic, physics-defying delights: The Skyscraper propels riders on each end of a 165-foot propeller through the air at a breath-stealing 60 mph. Secured to a super-elastic bungee cord with nylon backup safety straps, daredevils learn what it might be like to be born of an airborne pterodactyl as they pitch themselves off a seven-story tower with the Bungee Jump. Take in the majestic flatness of northern Texas on the Texas Blastoff as you shoot 150 feet in the air at 70 mph in a safety cradle, or veer vertiginous with the Nothin' but Net, a 130-foot, untethered free fall. The Skycoaster straps three friends into a 110-foot-high hang-gliding simulator, offering the thrill of flying without the hassle of actually going somewhere.

All of Zero Gravity's rides come with a few restrictions; customers must be at least 42 inches tall for the Skycoaster, and 48 inches tall for the Blastoff, and all attractions require that riders have no broken bones, heart conditions, or duffle bags filled with puppies. Specific restrictions vary from ride to ride.
