Ziegler Tire, an auto shop that’s been around for more than 90 years, staffs ASE-certified technicians who maintain automobiles with liquid transfusions and expert adjustments. During the 60-minute package, mechanics use an oil-system cleaner to flush out residue, stimulate oil circulation, and scrub sticky lifters, then funnel up to 6 quarts of new oil into the engine and add a fresh filter. Tires trade spots during a tread-equalizing rotation, after which the specialists adjust air pressure to the proper psi, evaluate the wheels to measure their alignment, refill fluid reservoirs, and test the battery. Additionally, mechanics march around the car during a quick safety inspection, checking for potential problems such as broken lights or scrambled VIN numbers.

Since 1919, three generations of Ziegler family members and friends have overseen the vehicles that have made their way into Ziegler Tire. The 24-location auto shop, which began as a modest operation by brothers Oliver and Harold Ziegler, now enlists computerized diagnostic systems and ASE–certified technicians to scout and fix automotive maladies. The skilled technicians outfit personal and commercial vehicles of all types and sizes with new wheels and tires from brands such as Michelin, Dayton, Firestone, and Uniroyal and perform a vast repertoire of routine-maintenance services to extend the lives of automobiles and to stave off a resurgence of penny-farthing popularity.
