Zizzo's Coffeehouse & Wine Bar
On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, piano music drifts through Zizzo's, and on Tuesday nights, movies wash away early-week blues for visitors who've gathered around glasses of wine and small plates. It's all part of the cozy, welcoming vibe created by Zizzo's owners Aaron and Christine Anderson, who took over the Capitola shop in 2010 and have nurtured it into a popular local hangout.
By day, Zizzo's is a coffeehouse that serves craft coffees any way customers want them. Around 4 p.m., though, coffee mugs start to move aside for wine glasses as Zizzo's transforms into an intimate wine bar. At this point, visitors can order regional and international wines by the glass, flight, and bottle, as well as various craft beers. They can also nibble on small plates, such as hunks of crostini bread topped with creamy mozzarella, tomato, basil, and prosciutto.
