What You'll Get
Though most zoos don't allow people to feed the animals, there are no rules against feeding them lines during their daily stand-up routines. Practice animal whispering with today’s deal: for $10, you get a one-day admission to Zoo Atlanta (a $20.99 value for ages 12 and up; $15.99 for kids 3–11, $16.99 for seniors and college students; free for kids younger than 2).
Zoo Atlanta is home to a diverse animal population, including its most recent addition: a female giraffe calf, born July 22, 2011. To figure out what to call the leggy bundle of joy, the zoo is running a random-draw sweepstakes*, set to take place on August 17, which will grant one lucky winner the honor of deciding what will be forever etched onto the license plate of the giraffe's custom vertical stretch limo.
While pondering a longneck name, visitors can take a skip past the Sumatran tiger and American alligator exhibits. Other animal-based pastimes include holding a staring contest with a wise otter or attempting to hypnotize a stoic giant panda. In addition to all their furry and fuzzy friends, the zoo offers a wide variety of shows, shops, and activities to keep guests constantly engaged during their walk through wildlife.
Though Zoo Atlanta sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About Zoo Atlanta
Zoo Atlanta set up shop in 1889, and has since become one of the top destinations in the Southeast for viewing wildlife from around the world. Many animals have found their home at Zoo Atlanta, from elephants and tigers to gorillas and orangutans. All in all, more than 1,000 animals currently roar and romp in their respective habitats.
A typical journey through the Zoo begins at Flamingo Plaza, from which visitors can choose one of two paths: They either take the left path and come face to face with elephants and African lions, or they can choose the right and find themselves amid a flurry of exotic birds and excitable children at the KidZone playground. Visitors can walk at their own pace and follow their own path, still watching otters play, one of the nation's largest zoological population of great apes interact with their families, and giant pandas pretend like they don’t care people are watching them sleep. Guests can also check out a variety of amphibians and reptiles at the Zoo's newest destination, Scaly Slimy Spectacular: The Amphibian and Reptile Experience.
