The inspiration for Zorvino Vineyards came to Jim and Cheryl Zanello in the same way it does for many American vintners—from a trip to Italy. Taken by the contrast in the quality of the wines and the pace of life between the two countries, the Zanellos brought over their own taste of the old country to the 80-acre New England estate. What once started as a hobby in 2004 with a few select wines has grown into an award-winning vineyard and winery producing over 7,000 cases per year. In the first years, 150 cold climate vines, mostly hybrids, were planted and the vineyard has now grown to roughly 2500 vines on-site, offering more than 40 different wines including reds, whites, fruits, blends, bubbles, and dessert wines. Most widely known for their 100% fruit wines and unique Z Wine Lab creations, you’ll often find visitors enjoying a tasting and a few laughs with the friendly staff of this family-owned and operated destination. Additionally, the rustic post and beam venue upstairs is host to over 100 events each year including beautiful weddings, private events, and Zorvino’s popular annual dinners, themed events, and shows.
