Payment Methods and Policies
Groupon accepts various payment methods:
Major credit/debit cards
Apple Pay (on Apple devices)
Google Pay (on Android and iOS)
Klarna (web only, $100+ purchases)
PayPal (selected customers)
Billing details for saved cards can be managed in the app when signed in. Payment information is subject to change.
Using Apple Pay or Google Pay
Set up the payment method in your Apple Pay or Google Pay app.
Select it at checkout in the Groupon app.
Confirm purchase.
For failed transactions, update your card and retry. If issues persist, contact Apple Pay or Google Pay support directly.
Editing or canceling Apple Pay/Google Pay orders must be done via the Groupon app.
To edit shipping/quantity: Go to Customer Support, select the order, and choose "Edit." Individual items require individual edits.
To cancel: Check the Cancellation Policy, then go to Customer Support, choose the order, and select "Cancel Order." If "Cancel Order" isn't visible, log in and contact customer support.
Groupon Credits
Credits apply to eligible purchases on Groupon.com or the app.
Find credits: On the Account page (computer) or My Stuff menu (mobile) to view balance, expiration, issuances, and transaction history.
Use credits: At checkout, ensure "Apply available Groupon Credits" is checked under Payment Method.
Currency and Fees
Purchases on Groupon.com are generally charged in US dollars. Canadian dollar charges are indicated by a "C" before the dollar sign.
Taxes (VAT) are included in Local and Getaways order totals.
Additional fees will be listed in the Need to Know section of the deal.
Policies applying to all customers (e.g., merchant-specific surcharges) may not be in the Fine Print.
Deals requiring purchase completion on a merchant's website may have shipping fees.
Refer to the Refund Policy if additional costs make you reconsider a deal.
Updating or Adding a Payment Method
You can update or add credit card information to your account on our website or in the mobile app.
On the website:
Select My Stuff in the top-right corner of the page (make sure you're signed in).
Select Account.
Go to Payment Methods.
Add or update your details, then select Save.
In the mobile app, you can select Payment Methods directly within the My Stuff menu.
You can also update your credit card information or select a different payment method at checkout.
