I bought this for my bedroom. I have a 15 lb. shih tzu and a 22 lb. shihpoo. I don’t want them getting hurt jumping on/off the bed. They’re still learning how to use the steps on their own but I can tell they like this alternative. The scalloped steps are firm and sturdy and just the right height, although I wish it was a bit wider. I like how the cover can be removed for washing.

Got this exact staircase from Bed Bath and Beyond (for more money) for my Yorkies to get on the couch... Kept carrying it into the bedroom at night for them to get on the bed. Finally bought a 2nd set for the bedroom in pretty gray color... They are 3.5 lbs and 5.5 lbs and love the soft but sturdy stairs!

The pet steps is nice and firm and tall enough (5 steps, for the pups to reach the top of our high mattress. )The underneath has a rubber non slip to keep the steps from moving out from under the walking up. We would certainly recommend these steps.
