Tesla Roadtrip We selected this hotel based on the presence of two Tesla destination chargers. The day before our reservation, I called the hotel to reserve access to the chargers and was informed that would not be necessary. The front desk informed me that they could guarantee 100% charge if we valeted our vehicle. On arrival, we were informed that several other vehicles had 'reserved' the chargers and that our vehicle would be placed on the wait list. The did not mention that the parking garage also has two chargepoints, which we could have accessed. Our vehicle was left unlocked and uncharged all night. Not ideal for a cross-country road trip. Also, the a/c in the room was unable to keep up with the June heat.

Best in the City - Tiger Hotel Fantastic Hotel, the Tiger far exceeded our expectations. Historical Hotel with all the modern conveniences. Large rooms, electronic blinds with room service. Five Star Service, valet parking, front desk and maid service all excellent. The Tiger has its own restaurant (Glenn's) and bar. Located centrally downtown near many restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this Hotel to our friends and family (5/28/2021).

Great Location! Very convenient downtown Columbia location. You can walk to campus or any of the downtown businesses or restaurants. The good: The room was up-to-date. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. Some rooms have a private outdoor balcony. We didn't use it since they could not find the key and it was cold outside anyway. A few quirks: City parking is free from 6pm to 7am. That means feeding the meter at 7am if you park on the street. Parking at the garage across the street is inexpensive. Note that public parking is only on levels 1 & 2 and it was full, but empties out after 5pm. We were only charged $2 (5-6 pm and 7-8 am). There are tiny signs warning that levels 3-up are reserved parking only. Don't park there. Television is basic channels only. If you need to watch a show, go to a local establishment. The bathroom looked recently remodelled and was very nice, but half the nozzles in the shower head were clogged with lime. No big deal. Huge soaker tub! No ice machines. If you need ice, you have to call the front desk and order it for delivery to your room. Not convenient on the morning you are leaving. Why not have an ice machine in the lobby? Fridge was packed with items for sale. If you need to refrigerate your own food or medicine, I don't know what you would do.

The good and not-so-good Overall we had a nice stay at Tiger Hotel. The good: we had a nice corner room with great views. The room was clean, spacious, and nice extras like automatically switched window blinds, Keurig coffee maker with Starbucks KCups. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. The parking garage across the street, usually $5 a day, never charged us as we came and went. The not-so-good: If television watching and sports on TV is important to you, come prepared with an HDMI cable and laptop. The TV signal and picture is terrible! Only analog signals and NO ESPN!! Truly the worse television experience in a hotel we have ever experienced. The shower was not very good and the plumbing did not seem properly attached behind the wall (the tub spout, shower head, and shower valve all moved quite a bit). We were disappointed that the bed was not made....we called front desk and they said it was due to the Covid (for crying out loud). We did like our sort of fancy stay better than The Broadway, and will likely stay there again (but prepared for the awful television deal)

Stayed overnight for the game!! We loved this hotel!! The check in was wonderful! Elizabeth was super! She is a gem at the front desk!! She was so welcoming!! Made us feel so s welcome!! Our. Room was beautiful, beds were super and the bathroom super modern and beautiful!! We loved our stay!
