the inner pot is extreme hard to remove and put in. Haven't tried smoker yet.

Be very careful about the number of chips you use in the device, as things can get overly smoke flavored if you don't follow the directions exactly. My husband used three times as many chips the first time, and it felt like we were eating burnt firewood. Other than that, it works great, very fast and efficient, easy to use and easy to clean.

The combination of using the cold smoke function along with the regular pressure cooking mode is great. I followed the tip people had posted on line prior to using the cooker so clean-up is really easy (just spray oil on everything except the charing cup), I also bent up the very tip of charing cup legs to prevent scratching the Teflon. Food comes out with a nice smoke flavor with no recipe cooking for over 50 minutes. Flash grilling is a must for the bbq look.

Smoker is easy to use and works well. Easy to overwhelm the meat with smoke flavor. Use only one small wood chip.

I have only used it 1 time, but so far I can see how much I plan to use it. I would suggest using 50% of the suggested chips to minimize the flavor to start.

It works as promised as an indoor smoker. However, I recommend using it on a patio or in a garage because it does suffuse the air with the smell of burning wood (no actually smoke in the air, but definitely the smell). Supposedly you can use it as both a smoker and as a nonsmoking pressure cooker, however, no matter how much I scrub it I can't get the smoke smell out of the unit. It seems to me that would add smoke flavor to whatever I cook, so for me this will be exclusively a smoker. I advise going LIGHT on the wood chips. Use 2 or 3 chips, unless you really like a heavy smoke flavor. You can probably shorten the recommended cooking time for cut-up chicken by five minutes, unless you want to make pulled chicken, because it was literally falling apart when I removed it from the smoker. All in all, I'm fairly satisfied because I like smoked foods and I got a good price on this. It would be nice if I could use it as a nonsmoking pressure cooker though.
