About ASUS

ASUS was named for Pegasus, a symbol of wisdom and knowledge in Greek mythology. In addition to these two tenets, the company mirrors the winged horse in another significant respect: both entities have taken part in a series of epic journeys.

ASUS notebooks have lived on the MIR Space Station. They were the first to work in the thin, icy air atop Mount Everest. As fireworks exploded over the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, ASUS servers directed the show. ASUS motherboards have probably even found their way directly into your home or office, as they’re present in one of every three computers and one in every two pizza delivery men. That’s a lot of ground for the Taiwanese company to cover in less than three decades.

Absolutely love this laptop. I have been looking for a laptop to replace my aging Samsung for quite some time. I'm glad I waited for this one. Very sleek look and feel. I really hate touchpads, but this one is very responsive. Best I've ever used. Best of all, this machine hums! I'm not a gamer, but for my purposes (surfing, social media, etc.), this thing rocks! Very, very pleased!!!

Its been 3 weeks now and I'ved this laptop quite extensively. So far no issues with the product quality even though it is refurbished.Impressive technology - mimics the features of my Macbook Pro; lightweight, clear sharp screen, lighted keyboard, cool running, long battery life, and fast i5 processor.

Excellent deal. I was in the market for a new laptop, and I wanted something that didn't feel or look "cheap" and had 1080p screen resolution. I found this model on display at Best Buy and liked the features and the metallic finish. Best Buy was selling this laptop for $700, and a couple of days later I found this Groupon deal. It was completely worth it. It doesn't have a CD/DVD drive, but honestly I haven't needed it at all. I bought a portable external DVD burner for the rare occasion that I might need to use optical media. Finally, all the hardware on this computer is fully Linux compatible. I installed Ubuntu 13.10 and all hardware was recognized without the fuss of finding drivers.
