About Beats by Dr. Dre

With six Grammys and a career spanning more than two decades, Dr. Dre knows music. As a rapper and seasoned producer, he also knows exactly what that music should sound like, even when it’s piped through speakers and headphones. That’s why, in 2006, he partnered with record executive Jimmy Iovine to develop a stylish line of headphones that would re-create the lush, crystal-clear sounds of the studio. In the words of Dre, “With Beats, people are going to hear what the artists hear.” And with revenues surpassing the $1 billion mark, it seems that people like what they’re hearing.

The line has expanded over the years and now includes over-ear headphones, earbuds, and the Beats Pill: a small but loud speaker with a sleek, capsule-like design. Beats also collaborates with artists, musicians, and brands to create eye-catching limited edition lines. Past collaborators include Lady Gaga, Hello Kitty, and Fendi, among many others.

Honestly, the sound quality is nice. Volume, is top notch. Bass, is rich. And the high's are right there. However, the comfort is something to question. I like ear buds, and find myself constantly adjusting these over and around my ears. They squeeze and pinch over my ears. And if I loosen them, I loose sound and catch more outside sounds, and need to increase the volume level. Of which there is plenty of. But I don't need to have that much sound in my head. I've craved these, and I'm slightly disappointed. \nI've even been told it sounds I'm talking through a tube when on the phone. Go figure.\nYour choice, get sound, or get quality and comfort.

The sound is soft and low on the right. Unbalanced. Have to return it.

I tried multiple other wireless earbuds and Beats are without a doubt the best sounding set. However, just like the wired beats ear buds, the volume up and down button stopped working at around 3 months.
