Have been wanting to get into this method for quite a while so when a deal popped up for this one, I went ahead and ordered one. I have used it four times now and cooking with Sous Vide is really awesome. The unit is very easy to use. Follow the directions and you shouldn't have any problems. Upon receiving, I was a little disappointed to see that the timer seemed to limit itself to 1 hour of cooking but upon use, I've found that if I set it to 59:59 it will stay on forever. That's great of you are cooking something that needs the longer time. Temperature was dead-on accurate as I verified the temp with an instant read thermometer in the meat I was cooking. The manual says to descale it every 30 days and out here in Los Angeles the water quality is incredibly hard. Because of this, I've only been using filtered water and will continue to do so. I've found that the combination of this unit and my Foodsaver vacuum sealer is the perfect method for my needs.
